The Malivian People's Party

National Constitution

Article I.  Party Name

1) The party shall be formally known as "THE MALIVIAN PEOPLE'S PARTY" but may be reffered to as "THE PEOPLE'S PARTY" or "The MPP" for short, which name shall be adopted by the federal and state divisions or changed as notified to "THE MALIVIAN PEOPLE'S PARTY (relevant division)".
1.1 For ease of expression in this constitution THE MALIVIAN PEOPLE'S PARTY shall be refered to as "The MPP" and/or "the party".

2) This affirms that all federal and state divisions of THE MALIVIAN PEOPLE'S PARTY are parts of the same political party and one is part of the other under this constitution.
2.1 Those divisions being all THE MALIVIAN PEOPLE'S PARTY divisions operating in all states and territories of Malivia, with the knowledge and permission of the National Committee as established in Article XX Section XX of this constitution.


Article II. Party Objectives

1) The purpose of the party shall be;
 (a) To achieve the objectives of the party
 (b) To secure the election of representatives to federal and state parliaments and other such local authorities as the party may determine.

2) The objectives and core policies of the party are as follows;

Article III. Membership

1) Membership of the party is open to any person who;
 (a) is sixteen(16) years or older and agrees with all the party objectives.
 (b) is a Malivian citizen and who currently resides in Malivia.
 (c) is not a member of another Malivian political party.
 (d) agrees to uphold and comply with this constitution and any relevant constitutions of the party's divisions.
 (e) pays the party annual membership fee as decided by the existing members of the party, by way of the majority vote, from time to time. At the commencement of this constitution the party annual membership fee shall be zero(0) dollars.
1.1 Provided however, that the members of the party may, by way of the majority vote and at their absolute discretion, reject and revoke an application for membership on the grounds that its acceptance and/or continuance would be against the party's interest or conflict with the party objectives.

2) Any person applying for membership to the party must complete an application for membership form and/or such other forms as may be approved by the National Committee from time to time.
2.1 All application for membership forms must be lodged to the party recruitment officer or another member of the party recruitment team, together with the party annual membership fee.
2.2 If application for membership forms are lodged to a team member of the party recruitment team that is not the party recruitment officer of the National Committee, that team member must lodge that application for membership form to the party recruitment officer together with the party annual membership fee.
2.3 The party recruitment officer shall reject applications for membership if the application requires additional information and/or is not accompanied by the party annual membership fee.

3) The party recruitment officer shall compile a list containing the names of the applicants that have not yet been presented to the National Committee, called the pending memberhip list, and present it to the party president at the commencement of the next National Committee meeting.

4) After reciept of the pending membership list, and at that same National Committee meeting, the party president shall ensure the pending membership list is placed in such a way that all party members present at that same meeting may view that list, until the conclusion of that meeting.
4.1 The matter of voting on the applications for membership pertaining to the names on the pending membership list of that same meeting shall be referred to the next National Committee meeting.

5) The party recruitment officer shall present the original application for membership forms, pertaining to the names on the pending membership list of the last National Committee meeting, to the party president at the next National Committee meeting.
5.1 After the party president has received the original application for membership forms the following steps shall be used when voting on applications for membership;
 (a) Choosing an application in any order, the party president shall declare the matter of (applicants name)'s membership request to be open for disscusion/debate.
 (b) Any National Committee member shall now have the right to request that the matter be adjourned until the next National Committee meeting, unless that matter is not eligible for adjournment under Article XX Section XX of this constitution.
